ditch it

As some of you may know, I’m in the middle of another transition (actually a few) in my life.  I recently moved, am getting divorced, fired a few clients over the past year, switched up a few services and am now working on creating a service I’ve been dreaming about for about a year and a half.

This service I’m working on has been on my for so long in some form or another.  Up until now, everything I thought of seemed to have too many flaws in it to work and I just couldn’t quite figure out how it would look and feel the best to me.  After flushing out a few things that weren’t working, the floodgates have opened up and the ideas are overwhelming.  There is so much possibility, and while I do feel the overwhelm there, I just keep breaking it down and moving forward little by little.  All because I made room for it by getting rid of what wasn’t working.

If it’s not working, get rid of it.  Time’s a-wasting.  It really is that simple.  If you are looking for success, no matter how you define it, you have to get rid of things that don’t work.  It doesn’t matter whether it’s in your personal or professional life, they tend to blend together when your self-employed.  You want to always focus on what’s working and identify ways to bring more of this into your life.  The stuff that isn’t working…revamp it or get rid of it.

How often do you take inventory of your life and your business?  I recommend putting it on your calendar to review every 3-6 months.  Keep moving in the right direction.  You deserve success today!
