Pickle Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Mason jar
- 1 Measuring cup
Ingredients
- Baby cucumbers
- 1 handfull Dill
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup Vinager
- 1 tablespoon cane sugar
- Celery seeds to taste
- Coriander seeds to taste
- Brown mustard seeds to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Alum This keeps the cucumbers crunchy
- 3 thick garlic gloves, grind
- Sumac to taste
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Give the baby cucumbers a good rinse
- Give the dill a good rinse and cut it in pieces, doing this releases more of its flavor
- Put the dill in the mason jar, right at the bottom
- Add the baby cucumbers to fill the mason jar to the top
- In a measuring cup add the water, vinegar, salt, cane sugar, celery seeds, coriander seeds, brown mustard seeds, alum, garlic gloves and sumac
- Hit up the water with the seasonings until the cane sugar is completely dissolved. It doesn't have to be boiling hot
- Add the water to the mason jar where the baby cucumbers are
- Let the baby cucumbers sit for about 3 days in the fridge and then it's ready to eat!
