Perfection is the Destination…or Is It?

making progressThe other morning I received an email from Live Dynamite about how progress is actually the perfection.  It went on to say how anytime we approach something from the mindset that we are making progress, we are more likely to achieve those goals and find success.

I’ve said for years that you don’t end up with perfection…perfection is the process…the progress you make along the way.  It’s a willingness to do your best to be better…to live better…to treat others better…to make a positive difference in your own life which ripples out and makes a positive difference in the lives of others.

Process or progress is the perfection…it’s like saying it’s all about the journey, not the destination.  If the only focus is on the end location, we miss so much along the way.  And then we are on to the next destination…the next goal…the next whatever.

When I go on a bike ride, I love to take my time.  To enjoy what’s around me. To see all the things I might miss if I had a goal of making it so far.  I’ve gone with others who never stop along the way and it doesn’t work for me.  I’ve had to separate myself from the group to allow my process to come in…to stop when I want to stop and take something in or take pictures of it.  This is a successful ride for me…one where I’m able to enjoy the journey.

Enjoy the process.  Enjoy the journey.  Enjoy your life.
