We’ve talked a bit about the concept of joy. But before we go too much farther, I want to ask you an important question. On a scale of 1-10, how good of a job do you think you do at letting yourself receive all the joyful things that life has to offer? In other words, when the good stuff comes your way, do you open up your arms and graciously embrace it? Or do you somehow have a twinge of not being deserving or worthy and brushing it off?
There’s no right answer. Much of it will depend on your growing up, your beliefs about life, and how you see yourself. If you could use a bit of work here (which most people can!), then here’s the scoop…
Everyone deserves to have a joyful experience here on earth. There’s more than enough abundance to go around for everyone. The more you live in joy – the more you radiate positive energy out into the world, which positively impacts everyone around you.
Starting today, notice and pay attention. Be the “observer” in your life. As joy comes your way, how do you react? What do you do when someone wants to do something nice for you? Or when someone gives you a compliment? Or when you are faced with a decision of whether or not to get a massage or a manicure or whatever you deem “nurturing”?
