Today is your day to “just be”. Spend 10 minutes just enjoying the space you take up in the world. Sit on the couch or in your favorite chair or out in the sun. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Take it all in.
What’s it like to sit for 10 minutes? Do you enjoy being with just yourself? Are you able to release the worries of the day and allow for thoughts of inspiration and creativity to enter your mind?
This is a great exercise to include in your daily rituals as they allow you to connect with yourself and your true desires on a deeper and deeper level over time.
Thoughts from Michele
My dear friend, Ilga, shared this exercise with me some time ago. At first it was very difficult to just sit and do nothing. I felt like I was wasting time…like I was being lazy. It was really hard for me in the beginning.
As time went on, it became easier and easier to do and I was amazed at the ideas and the intuitive information that began to flow into me during those 10 minutes. Enjoy the process and, most importantly, enjoy spending time with you – the most important person in your life!
I missed the first three days of “Be Inspired”…no pressure, right! But I LOVE synchronicity & the first three exercises happened all at once Saturday while at Carver Park. I took a yoga, nature hike, journaling class. While sitting on the dock by the lake I recalled a childhood memory of the bus stop where we had a little paved hill along the sidewalk where the kids ran up & down while waiting for the bus. I drew this = Joanie’s Day 1. A spider web inspired me. Doodled lines = Tonya’s Day 2. Closed my eyes & soaked in the sounds of nature. Just sat = Michele’s Day 3.
No pressure is right! How perfect was it to have everything happen together! It sounds like a magical weekend you’ve had.
