“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.” -Aldous Huxley
I could feel the tightness of my throat
The deep emotions surfacing
As I held back the tears
Welling up in my eyes
I couldn’t find the words
To express all I was feeling
I just knew they were there
And they needed to be shared
The music began softly
A distant sound resonating
Deep within my soul
As the sound grew I knew
This was the sound
Longing to be hear
The story
Dying to be told
A story of pain and heartache
Only short of words
The music said everything
Expressing the inexpressible
