This is a nice and easy recipe full of flavor!

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix (low sodium if you can find it)
  • ½ cup italian bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms (I like baby bellas but you can use whatever you like)
  • 1 10.75 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 10.75 oz can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 packet dry au jus mix
  • ¾ cup water
  1. Mix together ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk.
  2. Shape into 8 patties.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Coat the patties in flour and quickly brown them on both sides in the skillet.
  5. Place browned patties in the crock pot, stacking alternately if needed.
  6. In a bowl, mix together cans of soup, au jus mix and water.
  7. Pour over meat.
  8. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until the beef is well done.
  9. The gravy is great on the steaks as well as baked or mashed potatoes. I made mashed potatoes to go with my meal.
