wordsThe mind is known to store information by association. Why not try association in way that not only can unlock creative blocks but also can be a lot of fun.

For this exercise you will need a pencil and a notebook. A thesaurus can also be helpful. This exercise is also helpful in journaling. If you have an issue that you are having difficulty working through, it can be of great help in determining the root of the problem.

Take a sheet of paper and choose a word to work on. It can be any word such as; inspiration, happiness, love, creativity etc. Write your chosen word in the middle of the page of paper. Draw lines radiating out from the word. Then for each line, write down the first thought you associate from the word on the middle of the page.

This exercise was shared in the spring of 2011 as part of our Inspiration Challenge.
