Art can be very therapeutic. This exercise helps with unlocking your creativity through emotions. Many times a block in creativity may be due to an emotional issue you are dealing with. This activity invites you to embrace your emotions and come to terms with them.
You will need a sheet of paper or canvas, paints, markers, crayons or what ever medium you choose to draw with. Music can also be helpful in exploring your feelings and emotions.
Sit for a moment, thinking about your emotions. Can you name it? Describe it? How about draw it? Is it strong, soft, heavy, light, flowing, jagged, dark, or light? Don’t’ hesitate to let it out of you and on to the paper.
