This activity is certainly not a new one but very powerful none-the-less. I hear about it and then forget about it for a while, only to have it resurface. I’ve never actually written mine but, interestingly have “goals” on my to-do list right now. These don’t have to be just in the narrow box I originally was thinking…they can be anything. This tool not only helps you by making things more real because you wrote them down but it also helps you think creatively and realize your inner desires.
Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans. –John Lennon
Here’s the start of mine…
- Travel to Greece
- Ride in a hot air balloon
- Go on a cross-country road trip with no agenda
- Swim with dolphins
- Swim with sharks
- Publish another book
- Build a business that provides the resources I need to see every item on my list realized
- Do a polar plunge
- Learn the art of graffiti and create a piece somewhere publically
- Sleep out under the stars
- Get my dream tattoo
- Ride the megabus to Chicago and stay just for a day doing all kinds of fun things until I’m too tired to stand up
- Become a certified bartender
- Learn how to ride a motorcycle
- Get a scooter
- Go to burning man
- Hang out with a sloth
- Go on an african safari
- Go to Alaska and hang out with the bears
- Go whale watching
- Play in the mud and get totally covered
- Armed with only a white sheet or large canvas, a variety of colorful paints and my body – paint
- hmmmmm…what to add next…
