Creating a Bucket List

This activity is certainly not a new one but very powerful none-the-less.  I hear about it and then forget about it for a while, only to have it resurface.  I’ve never actually written mine but, interestingly have “goals” on my to-do list right now.  These don’t have to be just in the narrow box I originally was thinking…they can be anything.  This tool not only helps you by making things more real because you wrote them down but it also helps you think creatively and realize your inner desires.

Here’s the start of mine…

  1. Travel to Greece
  2. Ride in a hot air balloon
  3. Go on a cross-country road trip with no agenda
  4. Swim with dolphins
  5. Swim with sharks
  6. Publish another book
  7. Build a business that provides the resources I need to see every item on my list realized
  8. Do a polar plunge
  9. Learn the art of graffiti and create a piece somewhere publically
  10. Sleep out under the stars
  11. Get my dream tattoo
  12. Ride the megabus to Chicago and stay just for a day doing all kinds of fun things until I’m too tired to stand up
  13. Become a certified bartender
  14. Learn how to ride a motorcycle
  15. Get a scooter
  16. Go to burning man
  17. Hang out with a sloth
  18. Go on an african safari
  19. Go to Alaska and hang out with the bears
  20. Go whale watching
  21. Play in the mud and get totally covered
  22. Armed with only a white sheet or large canvas, a variety of colorful paints and my body – paint
  23. hmmmmm…what to add next…
