Pickle Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Baby cucumbers
  • 1 handfull Dill
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup Vinager
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • Celery seeds to taste
  • Coriander seeds to taste
  • Brown mustard seeds to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Alum This keeps the cucumbers crunchy
  • 3 thick garlic gloves, grind
  • Sumac to taste
  • Salt to taste

Equipment

  • 1 Mason jar
  • 1 Measuring cup

Method
 

  1. Give the baby cucumbers a good rinse
  2. Give the dill a good rinse and cut it in pieces, doing this releases more of its flavor
  3. Put the dill in the mason jar, right at the bottom
  4. Add the baby cucumbers to fill the mason jar to the top
  5. In a measuring cup add the water, vinegar, salt, cane sugar, celery seeds, coriander seeds, brown mustard seeds, alum, garlic gloves and sumac
  6. Hit up the water with the seasonings until the cane sugar is completely dissolved. It doesn't have to be boiling hot
  7. Add the water to the mason jar where the baby cucumbers are
  8. Let the baby cucumbers sit for about 3 days in the fridge and then it's ready to eat!
